Apollo Support and Rescue operates purely through volunteers and donations. We invite you to join us in the journey to make a difference in the life of dogs especially in the North Texas area. Since you are reading this page, we already know you love rescue dogs and have a desire to make a difference. We can help you put that desire into action that taps into your best gifts.

“At the end of life we will not be judged by how many diplomas we have received, how much money we have made, how many great things we have done.
We will be judged by “I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat, I was naked and you clothed me. I was homeless, and you took me in.”
― Mother Teresa

Donate: Are you very limited with time between work and all of your other commitments? You can still help a dog in urgent need now. All of the donations for Apollo Support and Rescue are tax deductible and can help in a long list of ways.

Foster: Do you love dogs and have room in your life right now to help one of our rescues get back on their feet and adopted into a forever home? Fosters provide for the care of one of our dogs by opening their home, hearts and bringing them to adoption events. Perhaps you can’t make a commitment to a dog forever but you can for a few weeks or months? Perhaps you are the perfect nurse and can aid in the recovery of one of our dogs getting medical care? Apollo really needs to expand its foster team for our dogs that need to be the only dog. Perhaps you can relate to that and like to be the only one in charge too? Perhaps you need a puppy fix and want to help a new mom with the care of her pups?

Virtual Fostering: Can’t take a dog home but want to be a foster?  Come spend the day and pick out a dog that you would enjoy fostering. You can spend the day with this new foster and return to the center when done.  You can take them on a lunch date, play date at the park, or just come hang out. You can even just network and share your virtual foster until they find a home.

Volunteer: Our dogs and organization have lots of things to do and we can always use some helping hands.  Are you available on weekends to help walk our dogs, clean up after puppies or be a friendly face to answer questions for adopters? Have you ever worked in grooming and can help with some beauty makeovers for these dogs? Do you like road trips? Sometimes our dogs are adopted a few hours away and we need help with home checks and delivery. Are you a writer and can submit dog related articles for our blog? Maybe you have a couple of hours where you can make phone calls to follow-up on our adopted dogs that need to show that they fulfilled their commitment to get spayed or neutered?
