A wise blonde once said: “I’m here to speak for those who can’t speak for themselves.” (Elle Woods, Legally Blonde 2) Guess what? That’s me – I’m Elle Woods! Okay, so maybe I didn’t deliver the actual line in the movie, but it seems like I did. Learn more about me.
I’m very sweet and love to meet new people. You’d never know it from the size of my ears, but I was born deaf. Because of this, I’m a little apprehensive at first but once I get comfortable and open up, I want nothing more than to love you and hug you and give you KISSES! My kisses and excitement have the ability to cure any bad day, I promise!
Back in December, I found myself in a cold, concrete cell. Unsure what I did to end up there and unable to hear what everyone was saying, I didn’t feel safe – I wanted out. I could see the fear and sadness in my neighbors’ eyes. One of them must have let me borrow their lucky collar because a lot of nice people came together to help me break outta there. I didn’t even know it was happening, but gosh am I glad it did! My foster momma worked with the shelter for several days to find a rescue organization to sponsor me and that’s how I came to Apollo Support and Rescue. Freedom never felt so good!!!
As my name suggests, I’m a very smart girl. My hearing impairment does not hold me back. After only one day of working on hand signals, I quickly learned to ‘sit’. I’m very attentive and eager to learn more. I’m housebroken and crate trained. Sometimes I can be a bit bossy, but I get along with most ‘normal’ size dogs. Being a terrier, I like to chase cats and small dogs but my momma seems to think that’s a bad idea. The cats and small dogs seem to agree, as they’re substantially less excited to see me (rude). Momma suggests I find a home without either; and I want to make her happy, so I’m cool with that. Chasing my tail is just as fun anyway. Though you should never ask a woman her age, I have nothing to hide! They tell me I’m between 1 and 2 years young and around 40lbs. Life is a beautiful thing and I’m ready to move on to my next chapter.
Are you the hero or mentor in my story?
