Apollo “Paws and Claws” Play Yard

Apollo “Paws and Claws” Play Yard

Update: We have raised all the money to build the play yard! We are in the process of building it right now! Stay tuned!

Apollo Support and Rescue for Abandoned Dogs is a non profit organization.

All of their dogs have been rescued from a local shelter or found as strays living on the streets.   We don’t know their history, their background or where they came from.  All we know is they need a second chance at a forever home.  They may have scars, have been abused, abandoned or just lost their way.

Our goal at Apollo is to place them in homes that believe in second chances. We at Apollo Support and Rescue are dedicated to finding you the right dog for your family and home.

Our Boarding Facility is located in Justin, Texas and houses close to 70 dogs.  We do have volunteers that frequently come to boarding and help walk the dogs.   But there are not enough volunteers to walk the dogs every single day.

Studies have shown to keep your dog happy, healthy and out of trouble, you’ll need to find ways to exercise her/his brain and body.  Many behavior problems in dogs are caused by a lack of physical and mental activity. Dogs were born to lead active lives.

Our goal is to develop a safe, enclosed play area for our dogs that are currently kenneled in the boarding facility.

This area will allow the dogs to get out and play and get the exercise they need.  The dogs will be able to zoom around off-leash to his/her heart’s content, investigate new smells, wrestle with her dog buddies and fetch toys until she/he happily collapses.

This area will also be utilized as a place for people to do “Meet and Greets”.  This way a potential adopter could interact  with the dog to see if it is a great fit for both.

In order to build a safe place for our fur-babies to play, we are in need of donations and/or materials to help build the space.  The enclosed fence will be 6 feet tall to prohibit any dogs from being able to escape.   The money donated will go towards getting the materials needed:  gate, poles and approximately 105 feet of fencing panels.

All donations are tax deductible!  Every dollar helps!
